Whether it is airfare, car rental, hotel fees, etc., we are here to help you get there.myvojo.com operates like a lay-away program/gift registry where a traveler can easily setup a profile itemizing the trip they want to take, including the total amount of money the trip is going to cost. Then, the traveler’s guests come to the site, and in lieu of buying gifts for the traveler for a holiday, birthday, Christmas, graduation, etc., guests can contribute as much or as little towards your trip as they wish.
How does the site work
How much will it cost and how is the fee charged?The traveler will be charged a one-time 7% fee when he or she requests payment. We have to charge a service to cover our overhead, website hosting and development, transaction processing fees, etc. This amount will automatically be subtracted before the funds are transferred to the traveler’s bank account.
Who can give a gift?Any person using a Mastercard, Visa, Discover, or American Express card or PayPal may contribute towards a traveler’s gift. In cases where the guest is not a U.S. resident, additional information may be needed and will be handled on a case-by-case basis with the guest.
Can I change my gift after I have setup my profile?Yes, the traveler may change his or her gift at any point before requesting payment.
How is the final gift collected?When the traveler has received enough contributions to meet his or her gift request, the traveler may request payment and the funds will be charged the aforementioned fee and then transferred to the traveler’s bank account.
Do you transfer gift funds to the travel supplier directly?No, we do not pay any traveler supplier directly. The gift total is transferred to the traveler to purchase their own travel arrangements. We are not liable for fluctuations in the price of the travel items listed by the traveler. It is up to the traveler to ensure they are receiving an amount sufficient to pay for their travel needs.
How long does it take to receive the gift?PayPal transfers are generally instantaneous. If you select 3-Day Funds Transfer, the transfer will take three business days to post to your account, and this time may vary based on when the payment is requested. Transfers requested by 7:00 pm will post to the traveler’s bank account in three business days. For example, if the payment request is made at 6:00 pm on Monday, the funds will be available on the following Thursday. In emergency situations where the funds are needed as soon as possible, if the payment request is made by 4:00 pm, the funds will post the same or following day (note, there is a $25 service fee to expedite the transfer). Checks may be issued in lieu of electronic transfers at a charge of $12.00 and will be sent by U.S. Mail to the address provided to us.
Is my personal information safe?Yes, we're absolutely committed to safeguarding your information. We take every precaution to ensure your personal and financial information are securely transmitted and we do not retain the information after the gift transaction is complete. myvojo.com does not sell or transfer our users’ information to any third-party vendors or to any other organizations.
How can I tell that I have received a gift?A notification will be sent to you when a gift has been processed for you.
How long will my account remain open?Your account will remain open for one year from the date it is started. One month prior to the account’s expiration, we will ask if you need more time and extend it accordingly.

How will the recipient be notified of my gift?Yes, we will send a notification of your gift and the amount to the traveler.
Why is the gift recipient charged a service fee?We have to charge a service to cover our overhead, website hosting and development, transaction processing fees, etc. Our fee is one of the most fair in the industry. Feel free to check out our competition.
Where does the money go once I have submitted a gift?Your funds are stored essentially in escrow in a federally insured bank account at Bank of America used strictly for holding our client’s gifts. The funds will remain in this account until the user requests payment through the site.
Will I receive a confirmation of my gift?Yes, you will receive an email confirmation of your gift after it has been processed.
How does the site work
- The traveler sets up a profile with his or her trip request(s). This can include one thing like airfare or a group of things like airfare, a car rental, and a hotel.
- Once the traveler’s profile is setup, the trip request is sent to the traveler’s email contacts, facebook newsfeed, and twitter followers with a message telling their guests that they want a trip for their upcoming gift-receiving occasion.
- Once the guests see the notification, they can come to the site and contribute toward the traveler’s gift request in any amount they choose. The traveler will receive confirmation for each gift received until the requested amount is reached.
- Once the traveler receives the requested dollar amount to pay for the trip, they can request payment. At this point, a nominal fee will be charged and the remaining funds will be transferred to the traveler’s bank account to purchase their travel.
